Our Story

In 2019, as a busy orthopedic surgeon, I never imagined that the post-operative pain medications I prescribed could possibly harm my surgery patients.

But during that time I watched the opioid epidemic sweep through my community.

It was impossible to ignore, especially since my wife– who was the local florist – was tasked with creating funeral flower arrangements for people who died from opioid overdoses.

It was heartbreaking.

It struck me that some people were exposed to opioids for the very first time following surgery.It was then I vowed to do everything in my power to find a better, safer way to relieve pain.

I began researching the over 2500 studies on laser therapy and its ability to reduce inflammation, reduce pain and support healing. I purchased an FDA-cleared MLS laser for my own practice and was astounded at how well patients responded to laser therapy.

It was then I worked to establish the OrthoLazer Orthopedic Laser Therapy franchise.

I knew that laser therapy was a drug-free solution that every community in America needed.

Today, you can find 18 OrthoLazer laser therapy centers in more than 8 states. Led by our 100 physician owners, our Centers have provided over 90,000 treatments and helped change lives for patients without opioids, injections or side effects.
