The Effect of Low-Level Laser in Knee Osteoarthritis: A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Trial

Since Endre Mester began his pioneering investigations, numerous clinical and basic research studies have demonstrated the physiological effects and medical applicability of low-level laser therapy (LLLT). Its application was initiated based on previous work that demonstrated properties of low-level laser that exert a positive influence on fibroblast and osteoblast proliferation, collagen synthesis, and bone regeneration.
