Expansion brings new headquarters, innovative pain relief, and local jobs to the “Orthopedic Capital of the World”
OrthoLazer, a national network of orthopedic wellness centers, today announced a major expansion with the opening of a new corporate headquarters and a flagship OrthoLazer Wellness Center in Warsaw. The move brings one of the company’s national operations to the heart of the orthopedic industry and provides local patients with access to an innovative, non-invasive laser therapy for pain and inflammation.
This expansion brings a significant investment and new jobs to the Warsaw community. It also comes at a critical time for the state. Indiana has been hit hard by the opioid epidemic, with opioid-related overdose deaths accounting for nearly 80% of all drug overdose fatalities in the state in recent years.
The opening is also timely, following the FDA’s recent update to opioid labeling requirements, which urges clinicians to consider non-opioid therapies first for both acute and chronic pain. This new center aims to be part of the solution by providing a proven, drug-free option for managing pain.
OrthoLazer was founded by Dr. Scott Sigman, an orthopedic surgeon who was moved to act after witnessing the devastating impact of opioid addiction. “The mission behind OrthoLazer is deeply personal,” said Dr. Sigman. “For providers who may be skeptical, it’s important to understand that today’s technology is fundamentally different and offers an evidence-based tool to heal faster with fewer medications. We are proud to bring that mission to Warsaw, a community that understands the importance of innovation in healing.”
OrthoLazer is working with Dr. Mark Klaassen, a strategic advisor and member of the company’s Surgeon Advisory Board, to bring the new center to the community. “Bringing OrthoLazer’s headquarters to the Orthopedic Capital of the World is a natural fit,” said Dr. Klaassen. “The M8 laser is the most advanced robotic laser available, delivering energy deeper into tissue to effectively reduce inflammation. It represents a significant leap forward for our patients and our community.”
OrthoLazer centers use the exclusive M8 Robotic Laser, an FDA-cleared technology that uses specific wavelengths of light to reduce inflammation and accelerate healing at the cellular level. This photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is used to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. With 17 centers already open nationwide, the company plans to have hundreds of locations by 2030, anchored by its new headquarters in Warsaw.
The center will start seeing patients on Thursday, September 11. To celebrate the opening, the company will host a community ribbon-cutting ceremony:
