Learn More About Light Therapy and Treatment

Have questions about how our advanced laser therapy works? Find answers on treatment benefits, session details, and what to expect during your pain relief journey.

What is laser therapy?
Our laser therapy delivers concentrated light energy directly to damaged cells and kickstarts their natural healing process. This helps reduce pain and swelling in the area and speeds up recovery. As your cells heal, your body does the rest, helping you get back to feeling better, faster. Unlike other laser treatments, our technology reaches into deep tissue to optimize healing. OrthoLazer laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to treat painful and debilitating conditions.
How does it work?
Light energy enters the damaged cells and stimulates activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of the damaged cells. Once the cells recover, the healing process is complete.
How long does treatment take?
Acute/Post-surgical Injuries: 6, 15 minute sessions Chronic Injuries: 12, 15 minute sessions *Treatment plan is dependent on your condition. Note: Treatment is progressive in nature, so it is important that you complete the entire course of care recommended by your doctor.
How many treatments will I need?
Acute/Post-surgical Injuries: 6, 15 minute sessions Chronic Injuries: 12, 15 minute sessions *Treatment plan is dependent on your condition. Note: Treatment is progressive in nature, so it is important that you complete the entire course of care recommended by your doctor.
What can I expect during treatment?
At Your OrthoLazer Orthopedic Wellness Center, we use M8 Laser Therapy, the most advanced form of light treatment that targets pain and promotes healing at the cellular level. The laser delivers concentrated light energy to affected tissues, reducing inflammation, easing pain, and accelerating recovery. The process is painless, with no burning or discomfort. Painless and Quick: Sessions with friendly, caring staff last about 15 minutes and are completely pain-free. Non-Invasive: No needles, no surgery, no additional downtime—just results.
What can I expect after treatment?
Most patients experience a gradual improvement in their pain and inflammation as the laser treatment plan progresses. Some patients respond more quickly, while others more slowly. Most see positive results in 2 to 4 treatments, with the average course of treatment being 7 to 12 treatments. The effects of the M8 Robotic Laser Therapy are cumulative. Therefore, it is important that you complete the entire course of treatments recommended by your doctor. If you discontinue the treatments prior to completing the entire course of care, your symptoms are likely to reoccur.
What is M8 Robotic Laser Therapy FDA-cleared for?
M8 Robotic Laser Therapy is FDA-cleared for the relief of pain, inflammation, and edema.
Is laser therapy covered by insurance?
While the M8 Therapy Laser is FDA-cleared, treatments aren’t covered by insurance. It’s reasonably priced, an investment in your optimal recovery, and eligible for payment with HSA funds. In addition, for most patients, the M8 Therapy Laser has an 85% efficacy for pain, inflammation and arthritis. Obtaining non-invasive and quick pain relief makes it a very worthwhile investment for most patients. Plus, some of our Centers even provide payment plan options for their patients!
